Providing food supplements for families and individuals can help them survive. We also strive to encourage and support individuals who are trying to create income-generating opportunities for themselves by supplying some financial assistance to start or expand their work. Health needs are common and many of them consist of needing basic care. The most common health problems are worms, malaria, sanitation-related stomach problems and wounds. These are just a few of the ways that open the door for people to hear the truth of the Gospel. While this is happening, we are praising God for the Jesus film that can be shared in many different languages. It gives people an opportunity to not only hear, but see the stories of the Bible come to life. Another option that is available are Talking Bibles, or the Word of God read in different tribal languages. Through these audio/visual resources, and different believers teaching the Word of God in the church and communities the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ is being proclaimed. Prayer is also an important and powerful part of the ministry in Koyi/Asirahulet! As people pray for each other and their community God works in powerful and amazing ways. Dima refugee camp is located twelve kilometers from the church built in Asirahulet. The majority of people are those displaced from other areas due to violence. Suri Outreach, which has worked among the Suri people for over twenty years by sharing the gospel through a development project, began helping some people in this location. Through communication with different individuals, the many needs of this community were made known to the Suri Outreach leaders and the Kebedes. God began to open doors through the help of local leaders for a church to be built and a church-based ministry to begin that would address the many needs of this community.
